From the photos above you can see how the anti-glare film reduces the distinct reflections that the glass like surface creates (right side monitor). It is true that you do not get something for nothing, so the question is what is lost with the application of the anti-glare film? The answer is not clear in the photos above so if we look a little closer, we can see that with the anti-glare film some image contrast and some brightness (~10%) is lost. See close-up photo Thus the anti-glare films are not recommended for color critical applications. Our "AR" crystal clear film would be best for color critical situations but then the only benefit is the protection that the film offers.
